Camp Wooden Acres reviews

I have gone to this camp the past 5 years and i love it. You are able to make so many meories and new friends. It is not far away, the food it ammazing, and all the staff are wonderful. This is a GREAT place to send your kids!!!

My children and our family LOVE Wooden Acres. The children are well taken care of and our teen worked as staff last year and she loved it They are all excited to go back again. There are more than enough structured activities, supervision and care. We love WAC!

THIS IS THE WORST CAMP EVER IT IS SO SMALL AND I FELT LIKE I WAS DIEING IN THE CABBINS THERE WHERE SO MENY PEOPLE IN EACH CABBIN LIKE COMMON I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE EVER

The new facility was awesome. the staff were great. Cindy was the best cook ever. The new toy on the lake was so much fun.I cannot wait until 2010

Honestly....when i first went to wooden acres i loved it. but as the summers go by the camp gets worse and becomes smaller...i mean 20 campers in the whole camp for two weeks...really? i would never ever go back there, i sat on my ass all day and i can do that at home...cant i? wooden acres is just whatever

I feel that the focus of this camp is on its own reputation and from my experience I feel that the attitude of the director is "that what the parents (and officials) don’t know can't hurt them". The location of the camp makes the safety of the children an issue as really anyone can get in. Also, the safety of the children is also compromised in the camp's programming. For many activities there was inadequate supervision, especially a lack of qualified lifeguards in aquatic activities. I feel that by placing too much emphasis on ensuring the kids want to return the next summer, the “character building experiences” that overnight camps are generally known for was compromised.

Great camp so much fun for the kids. The owner, Harvey, wants to overcharge his long time families. He should give them deals. This past year was nothing new for the 4th year in a row same story. If you paid for the early bird special you paid more than the others at the camp. So unfair.

okay ew..this camp sucks! counclers are terrible, food is gross, lake is dirty, girls and boys cabins arent even separated! TERRIBLE CAMP!

this camp is truly the most amazing place ever. i sadly have not been able to come for the last couple years due to money issues with my family. but i am returning this year and i'm so excited. they have great activities here. and i know from personal experience, when you are having trouble the consolers will help you. i've been dying to go back to this wonderful place. i'm friends with a lot of the people from W.A.C. and almost the whole time they aren't at camp, they're talking about how bad they want to go back. there has also been a new indoor waterpark built in and i'm very excited to see this. they also have traveling trips for the older kids. i think this is a great experience for any kid and you should definitely come and meet us a W.A.C. :)

this camp is amazin. since it is a small camp everyone lnowes eachother and the director knows your name. the travle trip is great and everyone including the councilers are very. close

i have been to this camp for 5 years and i love it im a staff member now and cant wait to go back. it might no be as campy as others but i have had the best 5 summers of my life due to wac. the staff members make camp amazing as they treat every child as an equal no matter how diffrent they are

some cool counslers and ince facilities, but the activities and camp director is awful. it is definitley not worth the money and not even a real camp

i had the best time of my life at wac i went from the begining from when i was like 9 to 14 and****ttt that was the best times ever i still talk about first year with the kids i was with then

The camp is the very best at meeting the needs of every child who attends . Nothing is ;eft to chance. The attention to detail from the Director to the counselors is superior to any other camp my family has been involved with. Tremendous facilities and very safe .Nurturing caring and helping to build self-esteem is the primary goal . My family has been going to Wooden Acres since the beginning and could not be any happier with the experience. If you want your child to have the very best in camping you must chose Wooden Acres.

Wonderful camp experience for my 9 year old son last summer. We picked him up and his first words were "I want to come back next year!". They provide the children with a wide variety of choices, and yet challenge them to try new things. My son learned to waterski! The counselors are senative and seem to pay attention to each child's needs. Overall we have had great intereactions with the camp director and other staff. They really seem to have each child's best interest at heart. Highly recommend this camp. My son is going back for three weeks this summer. He cant wait!

this camp is absolutesly amazing. i had the most amazing time the past two years, and this time i'm going for the full six weeks. the staff is really awesome and gets into stuff. they turn into your best friends. the director is nice to the campers, and the whole camp is really just relaxed. i highly reccomend this camp, as one with experience there.

Overall a very great camp! My 7 year old child had an amazing time and even decided to stay longer then we signed him up for!
