Julie Hartley — director's philosophy on storytelling and community
There are few things more important in life than stories. Telling stories is the way we articulate our humanity, our ideas and our lived experience, and it's how we build connections in an isolating world. The art of setting words on paper is powerful; sharing those words with one another even more so. We are all of us storytellers at heart, which is why all writers are welcome in my workshops, whether they have years of writing experience, or they are simply eager to try something new.
