Mainland daily life — what a typical day looks like

Daily activities include morning devotional, home-cooked meals, morning chapel, daily quiet time, big games (Braveheart is a favorite, but we are always innovating new and wacky games), rotation areas (archery, arts and crafts, nature hikes/activities, sailing, swim lessons, etc.), free time, canteen, nightly worship in the Tab, campfires, the occasional night-time game (depending on age, with running prohibited after dark), and nightly cabin devotions.

Setting — Upper Peninsula wilderness adjacent to Ottawa National Forest

Located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula just three miles north of the Wisconsin border, Covenant Point is 140 miles northwest of Green Bay, and 340 miles north of Chicago. Adjacent to thousands of acres of Ottawa National Forest, Covenant Point is close enough to make a weekend trip worthwhile, and far enough to be a truly set-apart wilderness experience. The mainland area is a thirteen acre peninsula on beautiful Hagerman Lake — a spring-fed, 585 acre lake that we enjoy year-round.

Independence, growth & leadership

Senior High (grades 9–12) — deepening faith and leadership

God calls and equips each of us to participate in God's mission in the world. Campers experience small-group seminars, one-on-one conversations with counselors, and opportunities to learn spiritual disciplines. Our staff is ready to encourage campers in their walk with Christ, share how they have grown as disciples, and help campers navigate tough questions in a safe, caring and healthy environment.

Programs & camp life

Trips Program — wilderness canoe and backpacking with trained guides

Covenant Point's Trips Program offers opportunities for campers to encounter God's complex natural creation. Having the lakes and woods of the U.P. and Northern Wisconsin at our doorstep allows us to hike and canoe in beautiful places. Smaller size groups averaging 12 trippers or less makes the program an excellent way for you to form deeper friendships with peers. Our Trips guides are certified in Wilderness First Aid, Lifeguarding, CPR, and Leave No Trace Ethics — all to provide a safe, exciting adventure for our trippers.
