Independence, growth & leadership

Adult leader requirements — two-deep leadership and Youth Protection

Scouting America requires a minimum of two registered adult leaders per troop at all times. Additional leaders may be required based on the genders and size of your troop. All leaders must present proof of their Safeguarding Youth Protection Training at check-in.

High adventure — building confidence and teamwork

Push your limits with EBSR's high-adventure offerings. From climbing and rappelling to COPE and off-camp expeditions, these programs challenge Scouts to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience. Many activities require additional sign-up and may have age or physical requirements.

Programs & camp life

One of EBSR's most unique programs — Scouts learn to heat, shape, and finish metal at our working forge under expert instruction. Scouts are required to wear closed-toed footwear and long-sleeve cotton shirt and long pants to participate.

Program scheduling — how a Scout's week is built

Each Scout's schedule is built around their rank, interests, and merit badge goals. Program pre-registration opens 30 days before your session — leaders will receive a link via email after troop registration is confirmed. High-adventure programs (ATV, Trek, Off-Camp Adventures) have additional sign-up requirements and may require advance registration.
