Alumni testimonial — community and friendships at Hiawatha

The family and the friends that I have gained from Hiawatha, it's just made me who I am. Some of the best conversations I've ever had were walking around that lake. The community, the friendships… it's just incredible.

First-timers welcome at Junior Camp

Many of our campers are first-timers! Our staff works hard to create a welcoming, supportive environment where every camper feels included and cared for from day one.

Independence, growth & leadership

Alumni testimonial — leadership and life lessons from Hiawatha

Hiawatha has been part of our lives for such a very long period of time. It encompasses my whole family. I was able to take those lessons we learned from Hiawatha — leadership, serving on staff — and apply them in my career and in my life.

Transportation to camp — parent responsibility

We are located in Allegan, Michigan on the west side of the state. Parents or guardians are responsible for transporting campers to and from HYC.

Programs & camp life

Junior Camp — activities and beach time

Fun games and activities in our week-long competition between two teams; boys and girls split beach time with access to canoes, paddle boards, and inflatable water toys (like a camper favorite, the Super Trampoline!); nightly devotions with your cabin and counselors to reflect on the messages, bond as a cabin, and grow together in the Lord.
