About Incarnation Camp

Daily schedule — structured activity periods, free time, rest hour

Our summer camp days are broken down into 4 structured activity periods throughout the day, which aim to show a weekly progression. Campers spend two periods at our waterfront — either Swim or Boating — and attend activity classes they choose from offerings including Ceramics, Woodworking, and Music. There is a saying at camp: rest hour is the best hour. After lunch, all campers head back to their tents for a well-deserved hour of quiet and relaxation. For the final activity of the day, campers usually spend time with their own unit — there might be a pajama/s'mores party around a campfire or a roller disco at the hockey rink.

Community and belonging — Incarnation's inclusive culture

At Incarnation Camp, we believe every child deserves a place where they feel welcome, valued, and free to be themselves. Our camp brings together children from different backgrounds, cultures, countries, and walks of life, creating a community where differences are celebrated, friendships flourish, and everyone has a chance to belong. Through shared experiences like tent life, team games, waterfront activities, and evening campfires, children build friendships with peers they might never otherwise meet. Our goal is simple: for every child to leave Incarnation feeling more confident, more connected, and proud to be exactly who they are. Because the friendships and sense of belonging built here don't just make for a summer — they can stay with a child for years to come.

Community and belonging — what Incarnation's culture produces in campers

When you have built a community based on kindness and consideration, campers feed off that positive energy and are able to leave their comfort zones and push themselves to attempt things they wouldn't have thought to try at home. This is because they are in an environment that doesn't reward 'winning at all costs' but instead promotes effort and attitude over result. Children come to our camp with an array of skills and talents in various areas and are encouraged to either harness and refine those skills or discover new passions, while feeling no fear of judgment or failure. Incarnation campers receive support from not only the staff but also their fellow campers who instill confidence and resilience in them as they navigate their summer experience.

Setting — 740 acres, 1.3-mile private spring-fed lake

We are hosted in a beautiful 740 acre wooded property in coastal Southern CT. At the center of our property is a pristine, spring-fed, 1.3 mile long private fresh water lake surrounded by hiking trails which give stunning views of the area. We do not share our property or lake with anyone and we do not allow any kind of motor boats in our waters, meaning only the freshest and cleanest lake water to swim and boat in for all of our campers.
