Parent review — first summer, lifelong friendships and activity variety
Our daughter Shelby had an incredible first summer at KenMont and KenWood Camp! She has made friendships that will last a lifetime and has not stopped talking about all the wonderful activities she participated in. There was cooking, soccer, gymnastics and all the fun times at the lake! She has already packed her trunks for next summer!
KenWood Camp provided a unique mix of: adventure, spontaneity, ingenuity, warmth, support and compassion. This was the perfect blend for our first time camper to create precious memories. She absolutely enjoyed every aspect of her inaugural sleep-away camp experience.
Program breadth — arts, athletics, and adventure balance
We take great pride in offering a diversity of programs, allowing campers to partake in a wide range of activities. All program areas are led by experienced professionals providing expertise, encouragement and fun. Activities at KenMont KenWood strike a careful balance between arts and athletics.
Setting — North Spectacle Lake and Berkshire foothills
Located on the shore of North Spectacle Lake in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, KenMont offers 200 acres of rolling hills, deep woods, wide open fields and a stunning waterfront. All this and we're just a short drive from New York City (2 hrs) and Boston (3 hrs).
Color War and special events — part of every session
There are two 3.5-week sessions each summer. It's a complete camp experience including special event days and Color War. Campers in each session arrive together, fostering the optimal social dynamic for camp living and the development of friendships.
Camp is different from school. The opportunities for developing character and building self-confidence and independence are rich and poignant. The bonds formed between children who live together in a cabin for 3.5 weeks are strong and resilient.
Parent review — life skills, camaraderie, independence
Summer at KenMont was such a wonderful opportunity for my son for so many reasons – I cannot even start to list them all. He learned so many new skills and learned so much about camaraderie, teamwork and independence. Highly recommend.

Evening Program follows dinner and it can be as simple as our annual Talent Show, a Scavenger Hunt or something bigger — an all-camp blowout with sister camp KenWood and our DJ. As the sun sets, Nate returns to his cabin and winds down with his friends. Lights go off at 9:30pm, ensuring that everyone gets enough sleep for tomorrow's fun-filled day.
