Camp values — community, respect, and belonging
Long Lake creates a community where creativity and confidence thrive. Community: a small, supportive environment where everyone belongs. Respect: fostering kindness and understanding in all relationships. Empower: helping campers feel confident and secure in who they are. Expression: encouraging every camper to feel seen and celebrated.
New campers — no one is alone, first-timers welcome
We have new campers attending each session and in all age groups. Because of our unique choices we attract campers who may have never thought of going to camp before but are very excited about coming to Long Lake. We also have campers who may have been going to a more traditional camp for a couple of years but are now looking for a more specific range of activities.
Our camp is located on a private, 200-acre lakefront property in the heart of the Adirondacks, providing an inspiring backdrop for personal and creative discovery.
Performing arts — campers balance arts and classic camp activities
Every day is packed with hands-on classes, group performances, talent nights, and just enough free time for water sports and bonfires with your cabin crew. From your first solo to your final bow, this isn't just any dance camp, it's your spotlight moment.
Our camp's technical theater program is called S.W.A.T, which stands for Super Wicked Awesome Techies. We have a production coordinator who organizes and runs the program. You will gain an immense feeling of pride when you see all your hard work come to life on stage. If you are considering a career in technical theater, summers at Long Lake will be an invaluable experience and crucial for your resume.
