Big Camp Sister Program — connecting new and returning campers
All new campers are a part of our Big Camp Sister Program where we pair younger campers with older, experienced campers who excitedly share memories and traditions with their Little Camp Sisters. In the spring, we send letters to all big and little camp sisters to provide them with the contact information for their camp sisters.

Point O'Pines — setting and overview
Point O'Pines is nestled in the spectacular Adirondack Mountains on a peninsula surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of beautiful Brant Lake. At Point O'Pines Camp for Girls, traditions come alive, dreams are realized, and girls of all ages come together to create lifelong memories.
Benefits of a 7-week full summer — why a traditional season
A traditional camp season of seven weeks transforms sleep away camp from a simple daily schedule into an experience of friendship and bonds between the campers that last a lifetime. Campers have the opportunity to both try out many new activities, and have the time to master them. Each summer at camp is an unfolding story that builds to an exciting crescendo, as campers lead special events they have been preparing throughout the summer, such as our Team Sing, Senior Night, Gold Rush and Banquet. The most treasured aspects of camp would not be realized in only a part of the full season.
Evening activities — nightly traditions and special events
Every night is different at the Point, from zany dress-up dinners to meaningful moments around the campfire. Evening activities bring the entire camp together for a fun and exciting event. Our evening activities may be campfires, Broadway shows, special entertainers, or traditional evenings, such as the costume-dinner party cabaret called Point O'Ritz. Other special evenings might include Western Night, 50's Night, Drill Team Farm Night, a social for the older campers or Dress-Up Dance Fever Night for the younger campers.
Technology philosophy — why no devices builds independence
Summers at Point O'Pines enable your daughters to develop new friendships, gain independence, and excel in their relationships with other people. Camp is often the first experience campers have in which they cope with situations and learn that they can solve problems themselves. Camp is a unique opportunity for campers to develop these coping skills, and our policies are designed to complement this experience. We believe that even the possession of a cell phone can prevent your daughter from feeling truly independent and undermines her ability to gain self-reliance and to build coping skills.
Girls excel in an environment where they can run things their way. At Point O'Pines our campers have more opportunities to thrive in leadership roles, build their confidence through learning new skills, and develop strong bonds with fellow campers without the self-conscious anxiety that can be present in a co-educational setting. During the school year, it is common for girls to wake up in the morning and worry about what to wear or how to do their hair. At Point O'Pines, girls know they will be wearing their uniform and do not worry that they will be judged on their appearance. We watch with excitement as our campers grow into secure young women ready to apply their sound character and strong leadership skills.
Bunk life — counselors, log-sided bunks, modern facilities
Two or three responsible and caring camp counselors live in each bunk, and help care for the well-being of the campers. With the perfect combination of natural Adirondack charm and modern convenience, our beautiful log-sided bunks provide a comfortable living space for our campers. Every bunk has modern bathrooms, hot water showers and electricity.
Horseback riding — 500-acre farm, English program, annual horse show
The Point O'Pines Farm is home to our extensive English riding program. Our small group lessons provide an ideal opportunity for riders of every level to learn from our experienced staff. Our staff takes great care in matching each rider with the most suitable horse. Instructional facilities include our dressage arena, an oversized jumping and cross-country field and two large circle arenas. Our 500-acre farm provides miles of country trails. Campers of all levels can display their skills at our annual horse show; advanced riders can participate in our Drill Team and perform for the entire camp.
