Climbing our authentic rock wall; jumping on bungee trampolines; pioneering through the outdoors; learning teamwork through our initiative games and ropes course; experiencing thrills and chills on our zip-lines, go-carts, and mountain bikes. Ramapo is a world of adventure, challenges, and exploration.
Special events — weekly camp-wide events including Color War
Each week Ramapo gears up for a major camp-wide special event. All campers participate in the fun and excitement of our weekly extravaganza… Carnival, Color War, Olympics, Shows, Theater, Theme Days, Water Day, and much more!
For campers entering Nursery–8th Grade, 9 am–4 pm. All sessions include transportation and lunch. Mini-Day Program (9 am–2 pm) available for campers entering Nursery & Pre-K. If needed, can convert to 6- or 7-week session at any time. Camp closed Monday July 5.
Food — fresh daily hot lunch and dietary accommodations
Prepared in our own kitchen so they're always fresh, we provide daily 'kid-friendly' hot lunches. There is also an array of other options including a wide variety of sandwiches, a complete salad bar, yogurts, bagels, and fresh fruit. Campers will also be given a morning and afternoon snack daily. For campers with allergies or special dietary requirements, accommodations are easily made for vegetarian, kosher, celiac, and other dietary concerns. We are also a peanut and tree nut aware facility. We do not serve nuts of any kind.
Small camper-to-counselor ratios and specialist-run activities
Small camper-to-counselor ratios and specialist-run activities allow campers to receive the individual attention and guidance they need to guarantee success and fill them with a sense of accomplishment no matter the activity, no matter the program.
Sports League — competitive program for older campers
Sports League (for third grade and up) is the NBA, NHL, NFL, MLB, and MLS all rolled into one! Campers looking for serious competition can join Sports League during their elective time and play on a team that will have actual league standings, coaches, playoffs, all-star games, and championship rings.
