Clues to fit

First-timer support — building connections before summer starts

An important ingredient to a camper's success in their first summer at Trail's End is their ability to begin building connections before the summer begins. These early relationships help create comfort and confidence from the moment your child arrives at camp. Our goal is to make sure a child walks into camp with one or two acquaintances — and by the end of that first summer, leaves with three or four great friends.

Typical daily schedule — five-period day with electives

From the moment our campers wake up until their heads hit the pillow at night, our five-period day is designed to help them learn, laugh, play, and make the most of every day by blending structure and choice throughout. Two elective periods allow campers to choose activities that reflect their interests — whether it's sports, arts, challenge activities, waterfront fun, or something completely new — giving them additional time in the areas they enjoy most and helping shape a summer that feels uniquely theirs.

Adventure program — zip lines, high ropes, climbing wall, mountain biking

Our adventure offerings include four zip lines, an 18-element high ropes course, a climbing wall, archery, and mountain biking. Outdoor adventure at Trail's End is about more than the thrill, giving campers the opportunity to try something new and feel that overwhelming sense of accomplishment as they reach new heights.

Traditions & shared moments

Spirit and tradition — TEC Green & White, founded 1947

Trail's End is built on a rich history that dates back to 1947, and our campers take great pride in being part of something bigger than themselves. They walk in the footsteps of the generations before them, carrying forward traditions that continue year after year. The spirit and traditions of Trail's End are shared, lived, and passed on — creating bonds that connect campers long after the summer ends. Once you're a part of Trail's End, Trail's End is forever a part of you.

Independence, growth & leadership

Lasting impact — independence, resilience, lifelong friendships

The impact of a Trail's End summer doesn't end when camp does — it lives on in the friendships, values, and special summer moments we carry with us as we leave Beach Lake, taking a piece of Trail's End home in our hearts. Together, we help each child develop independence, resilience, and meaningful connections that extend well beyond the summer months.

Parent support from leadership — Marc and Kylie guide new families

From the very beginning, Marc and Kylie work closely with families to help guide the transition to Trail's End. Whether you have questions about packing, preparing your child emotionally, or helping them build early connections, they are there to support you every step of the way.

Programs & camp life

Dining — family-style meals, daily menu variety, snacks

Mealtimes at Trail's End are about more than just food — they're a time to connect and enjoy being together. Meals are served family-style at each table, creating an inclusive and communal dining experience. We also offer substitute bars at every meal, providing plenty of options for even the pickiest eaters. Every afternoon following Rest Hour, campers enjoy Moo Call, our daily snack break. Each evening, campers also receive a bedtime snack delivered directly to their bunk.

Specialty Camps and Academy Programs — focused instruction within camp schedule

One of the highlights of the Trail's End experience is our Specialty Camps and Academy Programs, which allow campers to customize part of their summer based on their interests. These programs are offered as a supplement to our core camp schedule and are designed for both beginners and more advanced campers. Led by experienced professionals who specialize in working with children and teens, these programs give campers the opportunity to deepen skills, explore new interests, and challenge themselves. Current Specialty Camps include Mecca Flag Football Camp, Level Up Basketball Camp, Balance Gymnastics Camp, and East Side Dance Studio Dance Camp. Academy Programs include Hoop Lab Basketball Academy, Tennis Academy, Soccer Academy, Baseball Academy, Lacrosse Academy, Hockey Academy, and Woodloch Golf Academy.
