Big Sister / Little Sister program — welcome before camp even starts
Before you even come to camp, you'll get a letter from two TLC campers who will be your Big Sisters. They will tell you all about what you can expect when you come to Tripp Lake. The day camp starts, your Big Sisters will be looking for you to welcome you to camp and help you feel comfortable and at home.

Alumnae network — lifelong friendships into college, career and family
Our alumnae are an integral part of the Tripp Lake Camp experience. The deep-rooted relationships that start at camp are evident in the lifelong friendships that carry forward through college, family life and career. We have created an alumnae website that not only allows former campers to stay connected with friends from camp, but provides opportunities to reach out to other Tripp Lake Camp alums when beginning the search for college, applying for internships, or seeking professional advice.
Parent testimonial — granddaughter's first year felt like her tenth
"Twenty five or so years ago my daughter Amanda attended Tripp Lake and now her daughter. This past weekend I experienced the sense of growth, freedom, happiness, confidence and mutual respect between campers. I saw the happiness in my granddaughter's eyes, her proud sense of belonging, her friends and a camp so well run that can only reflect a true sense of understanding by management. This is her first year and it seemed that it was her 10th. She was made to be a part of a larger family which she now readily fits into. We saw young adults moving from activity to activity without being told by counselors. They had the responsibility put on them and they knew what to do. That's reflective of growth and respect."
Tripp Lake Camp is located on 260 acres of manicured fields nestled among majestic evergreens. It is the only camp situated on beautiful Tripp Lake. The camp property is located on the northwest shore of Tripp Lake. The lake is a clear and temperate body of water about a mile wide and five miles long.
Special traditions — Wish Night, Shield Night, OG-NOG, Sing Song
Wish Night is a TLC tradition presented by the Inter II's — a beautiful evening where campers share their special hopes, dreams and wishes for Tripp Lake Camp, with oldest campers lighting a candle and floating it in the lake by moonlight. Shield Night takes place on the last evening of camp, with each department presenting age group awards and the presentation of that year's shield to the winning Big Team. Sing-Song is a very special, beautiful and traditional event where each Big Team presents five songs judged by a panel. OG-NOG — 'Old Girls-New Old Girls' — is our camper talent show: as a new camper you become part of the Tripp Lake Family as soon as you arrive.
Visiting Day: Friday, July 23, 2027. Rookie Day: Thursday, July 22, 2027. In rare cases, partial-season accommodations may be discussed with the director.
Daily schedule — how campers learn it, Advisors escort to every activity
Each age group Advisor gives new campers a tour of camp and shows the girls how to read the daily schedule. The daily schedule is posted in each bunk and in several places around camp. Each age group has its own Advisor who is responsible for the well-being of her girls. She and her assistant escort the girls to their activities and take attendance every period.
Campers shower daily. Laundry is done once a week at camp — picked up and delivered back to the bunk at rest hour the next day. Bunk counselors unpack for campers 13 years old and younger before they arrive. Every camper makes her own bed every day. Bunk size is on average 6, with approximately 40–50 girls in each age group.
