My daughter is currently attending the camp and the problems there are so numerous and so damaging to the camp, it's just deplorable. I will be contacting the camp first thing on Monday morning regarding these serious problems. First off, the counselors there sound completely complacent and void of compassion. My daughter, who is a straight A student, well mannered, and always respectful of others, has cited at least 5 egregious issues there in her first 5 days. Firstly, there is an obviously mentally unstable boy there approx 12 yrs old. He has punched numerous (females) kids there of all ages, as well as threw projectiles (rocks and 'plungers'?) at them. It's been witnessed and/or noted by several children/campers. The staff has done NOTHING about it, on every occasion. My daughter's friend has been punched by him, and my daughter suggested to a counselor she have ice, he just said, NO. You send your kids here at an awful risk to their physical and mental well being.
